Now I translate these into my bold, abstract paintings. I see art as part of the interior spaces that surround us - adding colour and texture with layered application of paint and collage. My pieces have a small number of focal points with invigorating colour or light-shadow contrasts; these are complemented by much quieter, intricate details, spread around the canvas.
